Announcements

Please join us for Coffee Hour in the Parish Hall following both services.

Adult Formation is at 9:15 a.m.; Education for our young people begins at 9:45 a.m.; Choir practice is at 11:45 a.m.

Starting Sunday, December 3, Adult Formation will be about the meaning of Advent and preparing ourselves for the coming of Christmas. Liz Farmer will be leading our discussion and will use some ideas from the book Because of Bethlehem by Max Lucado. Please join us.

Thank you to all who contributed Christmas gifts to the children at Brinton School through our Angel Tree.

Date Change--Fr. Bob and Jan Saik will host their annual Christmas Open House Saturday, December 2 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Please save the date and pick up directions to their home in the narthex.

Fr. Bob needs some help to provide Christmas presents for some children. Please see Fr. Bob if you are willing to help.

We are looking for people who are interested in games to work on creating a Fun Friday Game Day. If you would like to assist contact the office or Fr. Bob.

Food Bank suggestions for next week: canned fruits, pudding, gelatin.

We are compiling Acts of Kindness and sharing them. The act of kindness this week is:  My daughter attending church with me every Sunday morning. Please submit Acts of Kindness to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Want to become more social media savvy? Have you always wondered how to stop those annoying spam emails? Or what all those Apps on your phone do? Starting Friday, December 8th  from  9:00 to11:00 a.m.  join us on the second Friday each month in the Parish Hall for answers to your questions.

Attention Arizona Taxpayers! You are eligible for a dollar for dollar tax reduction if you contribute money to the Arizona Episcopal Schools or the Mesa Public Schools (or others). Please take a form at the back of the church and help the schools!

Prayer Circle names will remain on the list for at least a month. Please call the office at 480-986-1145 or update the sheet with additions/deletions, noting those who should remain on. Thank you for understanding when names are removed.

The Walking on Wednesday group has made landfall.  We crossed the Atlantic and are currently in Seville Spain. Starting on Dec. 6 we will begin our Wednesday walk at 8:00 a.m. If you can’t walk with us, we still want to include your mileage.

If you know of anyone who is in need of a prayer shawl or quilt please contact Joan Crossman, Linda Jo Johnson, Jan Saik or the office

Upcoming Events

Monday, November 27 is Project Ministry in the Parish Hall. If you are interested in assisting, please come for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and for work at 8:30.

Tuesday, November 28 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church the East Valley Pops Orchestra will present a concert to support the Richey Fund. A goodwill offering will be taken. Flyers are available in the narthex.

Wednesday, November 29 at 7:45 a.m. is Walking group; 9:30 a.m. is Holy Eucharist; 10:00 is Bible Study.

Saturday, December 2 at 10:00 is Altar Guild and Daughters of the King; at 11:00 is ECW (no potluck) and from 1:00-4:00 p.m  is the annual Christmas Open House hosted by Fr. Bob and Jan Saik. Please save the date and pick up directions to their home in the narthex.

Saturday, December 9 will be the Advent Dinner starting at 5:00 p.m. Be sure to mark your calendars for this special event. A sign-up sheet is in the narthex.

Friday, December 15 at 10:00 a.m. Book Club will meet in the Parish Hall using the selection Call the Midwife by Jennifer Worth. After our discussion, we will watch a Christmas special from the BBC television series.

Sunday, December 17 Altar Guild will sponsor a Bake Sale after both services. Items you may wish to contribute to the bake sale can be dropped off Saturday, Dec. 16 between 9:00 a.m. and Noon.

Sunday, December 24 at 9:00 a.m. is Rite II; at 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. are Christmas Eve services.

Sunday, December 25 at 9:00 a.m. is Christmas Day service.
