Welcome to Transfiguration's Children's Ministry

The Transfiguration Children’s Ministry is going strong! The Advent pageant really helped focus the kids’ energy and now they are in the process of collecting pop tops for charity. All during Lent they will bring in as many pop tops as possible and after Easter they will deliver them all to the Ronald MacDonald house in Mesa. They are also planning a fun activity to celebrate the end of Lent and their pop top drive.

We are also looking for parish volunteers to help with crafts, snacks and/or storytelling during Sunday School. We would appreciate any amount of time that you could spend doing this, but if enough people volunteer, each helper would probably only be asked for one or two Sundays a year. Details on how to sign up for taking the Safeguarding God’s Children course online are available from Ruth Ann. We would appreciate knowing who our new volunteers will be as soon as possible, so that we could start scheduling each person for just one Sunday between now and the end of May, when we take our summer recess.

There is such delight in giving of ourselves to the children and receiving back from them more than we might have imagined! Please come join the joy!
