The Reverend Robert (Bob) Saik (Rector)
My wife and I moved to Mesa from Westerville, Ohio, in August 2013 to begin my position as rector of the Church of Transfiguration. Prior to our move I attended Bexley Hall Episcopal Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. After a long career in business I knew I'd finally found my calling when I arrived at the Church of the Transfiguration and was so warmly welcomed. As a lay member of several Episcopal church I served on vestry, ran several capital campaigns, served as junior warden, chaired a rector search process and sang in the choir. In my business career I was an executive leading the Information Technology organization and also worked in call center operations.

Sarah Mihail - Director of Children’s Ministry
Bobbie Lafford- Senior Warden
I am honored to serve on the Vestry of the Church of the Transfiguration I first came to Arizona from New York in 1980 to become a professor of Spanish at Arizona State University. After having spent most of my life as a Presbyterian, I was confirmed in the Episcopal church in 1992 at St. Paul’s (now San Pablo) in Phoenix, AZ. After having been involved in children’s and music ministries at both St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Phoenix for 17 years, in 2007 I started to attend the Church of the Transfiguration and saw the need for the children’s program to be revived and expanded. With help and support from fellow parishioners, the clergy, and the vestry, the children’s program began to flourish once again. After serving in that position for five years, I am now singing in the choir and loving every opportunity we have to enhance the worship service with inspiring music. I have also recently joined the healing ministry and I look forward to using my linguistic and teaching skills to work with other members of the church in service to the needs of our surrounding community.
