Below are listed the Transfiguration church leaders.  The vestry members are listed under a separate tab.

The Reverend Robert (Bob) Saik (Rector)

My wife and I moved to Mesa from Westerville, Ohio, in August 2013 to begin my position as rector of the Church of Transfiguration.   Prior to our move I attended Bexley Hall Episcopal Seminary in Columbus, Ohio.  After a long career in business I knew I'd finally found my calling when I arrived at the Church of the Transfiguration and was so warmly welcomed.  As a lay member of several Episcopal church I served on vestry, ran several capital campaigns, served as junior warden, chaired a rector search process and sang in the choir.  In my business career I was an executive leading the Information Technology organization and also worked in call center operations.

The Reverend Dan Herron (Deacon)

I was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1946 and am the middle child of seven.  Betsy and I were married on June 20, 1970.  We have three children; Lizanne who lives with her family in NC, Danny who died the day after he was born in 1971, and Chuck who lives with his family in Mesa.  I was ordained Deacon in 1989 in the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix.  In 1997 Betsy and I moved to Salt Lake City.  In 2004 Betsy and I were received into the Episcopal Church and in 2007 I was received as Deacon.  We moved back to AZ in 2010 and became members of the Church of the Transfiguration in 2014.   I am semi-retired due to health issues but work part-time for a local hospice as a chaplain as well as help at church in whatever way I can.

Sarah Mihail - Director  of  Children’s Ministry

Bobbie Lafford- Senior Warden

I am honored to serve on the Vestry of the Church of the Transfiguration  I first came to Arizona from New York in 1980 to become a professor of Spanish at Arizona State University. After having spent most of my life as a Presbyterian, I was confirmed in the Episcopal church in 1992 at St. Paul’s (now San Pablo) in Phoenix, AZ.  After having been involved in children’s and music ministries at both St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Phoenix for 17 years, in 2007 I started to attend the Church of the Transfiguration and saw the need for the children’s program to be revived and expanded. With help and support from fellow parishioners, the clergy, and the vestry, the children’s program began to flourish once again. After serving in that position for five years, I am now singing in the choir and loving every opportunity we have to enhance the worship service with inspiring music. I have also recently joined the healing ministry and I look forward to using my linguistic and teaching skills to work with other members of the church in service to the needs of our surrounding community.

Don Strachota- Junior Warden

Joan Crossman- Treasurer

I was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and I was married to the late Jon Crossman.  I moved from Connecticut to Arizona in the fall of 2008.  I have three children, my oldest daughter I live with here in Arizona, my son lives in Long Island, NY and my youngest daughter lives in Connecticut.  This will be the third year that I am Treasurer of this church.  I am a member of the Altar Guild, and started the quilt ministry in September 2014, and I also started our Newsletter by putting together articles giving to me by our members.  In 2012, we were able to make many improvements to our buildings, thanks to our members contributions.   We have a very friendly and giving congregation who love their church and made all of this possible.

Ann Williamson- Clerk of Vestry

I came to Arizona from Chicago in 1998 to help mu parents, who had come here from Florida a number of years earlier. A cradle Presbyterian, I came to Transfiguration and the Episcopal Church in 2002 at the invitation of a family friend.  I was very attracted to the liturgical form of worship and spirituality and became active in the parish.  In addition to serving as Clerk of the Vestry since 2003, I also serve as a  Lay Eucharistic Minister/Visitor and fill in as acolyte at the 10 am service when needed.  I graduated from Education for Ministry in May, 2008 and did my Cursillo weekend the same month.  I'm also a member of the Altar Guild.

Linda Ostmeyer- Office Manager

Linda moved to Arizona in April 2013 after living 16 years in Colorado.  She is originally from Kansas.  Linda and her husband, Terry, have a son and daughter and two grand-daughters.  Linda has been an Episcopalian for about 47 years.  She came to Transfiguration upon arriving in Arizona.  In 2014 she became the office manager at Transfiguration.  She is a member of the Altar Guild and the ECW.
