All Saints Day is being celebrated during the 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. services today. You may join in the procession and carry the picture of a saint with you.

 

Today we welcome Rev. Laura Adelia as our supply priest.

 

The first Sunday of each month is Family Sunday. Children are invited to serve as acolytes, chalice bearers, ushers, readers and gift bearers.

 

Altar flowers are given today by Ruby Seyffert in Thanksgiving and by Terry and Linda Ostmeyer in celebration of the birthday of their daughter Sara Melvin.

 

Please join us for Coffee Hour in the Parish Hall following both services.

 

Open house in the Parish House following both services (no adult ed.). Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who assisted us in moving. We could not have done it without you!

 

Education for our young people is 9:45 a.m. in the Parish Hall; Choir practice is 11:45 a.m.

         

Fall UTO Ingathering concludes today. ECW thanks you for supporting this outreach.

 

 

The Church received a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle which we would like to sell. Contact Fr. Bob is you know someone who might be interested.

 

A sign-up sheet for November Birthdays is in the narthex. If your birthday is not listed, please add it. We will celebrate at the November 18 coffee hours.

 

Turkey Drive donations for the Apache Junction Food Bank are due by Sunday, Nov. 18. We need volunteers to deliver the turkeys. Please contact the office to help.

 

The year-end edition of Transfiguration Newsletter is available in the narthex. Thanks to Joan Crossman, Jan Saik and all parishioners who contributed articles.

 

Diocesan Winter Family Camp will be January 4-6 at Chapel Rock in Prescott. Ring in Epiphany with stories, a campfire, carols, crafts and holiday fun. Information and registration is available at http://www.azdiocese.org/digital  faithevents

 

The Episcopal Journal is currently updating their mailing list. If you do not receive this publication and would like to, please contact the church office.

The office is seeking parishioners who would enjoy writing articles for the church newsletter. Please let us know if you would be interested in this fun ministry.

In support of Brinton Elementary School, ECW is collecting elastic waist pants and

T-shirts sizes 5-12 for boys and girls. Anti-bacterial wipes and Kleenex are also needed.

 

If you know of anyone who is in need of a prayer shawl or quilt, please contact Joan Crossman, Linda Jo Johnson, Jan Saik or the office.

Monday, November 5 is Project Ministry breakfast at 8:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall and work at 7:30 a.m. Garden staff is on hand by 7:30 a.m.

 

Wednesday, November 7 at 9:30 a.m. is Morning Prayer; at 10:00 a.m. is Bible Study; at 11:00 a.m. is Cursillo Gathering.

 

Wednesday, November 7 the Walking on Wednesday group will start again. We meet at 8:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall and would love to have you join us.

 

Sunday, November 11 we will remember all of our Veterans. A list from last year is in the narthex. Please highlight names you wish to remain on and add new ones.

 

Tuesday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m. is the next gathering of the new ECW ministry: The Lords Soup Kitchen. Please contact the office if you need food assistance or to join the group of cooks!

Tuesday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m. is Vestry.

 

November 13, 14 and 15 are work days for the Rummage Sale. Chairman Jo Laslo has provided a book in the narthex where you may sign-up to help with this project.

 

Friday and Saturday, November 16 and 17 is the annual Rummage Sale.  Please hold the dates. We are now accepting contributions in the Parish Hall.

 

Friday, November 16 at 10:00 a.m. Book Club will resume in the Parish House using the selection Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. Hope to see you there! Friday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m. parishioners Peter and Bobbie Lafford will be participating in the Chrisians in Concert fundraiser for the Diocese’s Disability Ministries. Peter will be directing the singers. A flyer is posted in the narthex.

 

Friday, November 16-Sunday, November 18 the Diocese is sponsoring the 2018 Fall Men’s Retreat “The Journey Within”.  For more information, a flyer is posted on the narthex bulletin board and hand-outs are on the table.

Fr. Bob and Jan Saik will host their annual Christmas Open House Sunday, December 16 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Please save the date.
