An Update from the Rector (August 1st)

On Sunday, July 26th, we continue to pray for a reduction in the number of Covid 19 cases throughout the United States and especially in Arizona .  We pray for the medical workers who are dealing with large numbers of patients.  May they find time to rest and may they be comforted knowing that they are doing everything they can to help.  We have quite a few people in our congregation who are dealing with an illness or are recovering from surgery.  We pray for all who are sick including those in our congregation and those who are close to members of our church.

The bulletin for Sunday, July 26th is attached.  You may follow the services with it by going to the Youtube link or the Church Facebook page.

My Sunday service is recorded on Wednesday.   So, I will once again offer communion to everyone who is able to stop by the church on Wednesday, July 29th between the hours of 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.  Please stop by and see me.  I invite you to bring some food for the food bank when you come for communion.  I will have the Food bank container with me.  If you are unable to come to the church, please call the office and we will find a way to deliver communion to you at your house.

Compline will be offered Monday through Friday at 7:00 pm through Z00M and Morning Prayer will be offered on Wednesday at 9:30 am. Call or email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to sign-up.  Please check Facebook and the web page for the schedule.

We will have someone in the office on Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM until noon. If you need immediate assistance, please call my cell phone at either 480-980-1981 (no Texts) or 614-589-0173 (personal cell phone).

Our plan for the reopening of the Church of the Transfiguration has been approved.  I am slightly encouraged by the latest information about cases in Arizona but we cannot open the church  because the number of coronavirus cases is still at a dangerous level in Maricopa and Pinal counties.

May you be safe and healthy.  Father Bob++
